Responses
Responses dashboard
See every form and its response count at a glance, then read individual answers without leaving Formius.
Collecting responses is only half the job. The other half is actually seeing what came in and being able to use it, without stitching together a spreadsheet just to read a single answer. Formius gives you a dashboard that shows all of your forms and their response counts in one place, so you always know what is happening at a glance.
From there you drill into any form to read the responses one by one, or export everything to a CSV that opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool when you want to analyze it or move it somewhere else. The numbers you see are the numbers that count: only verified, email-confirmed responses are included in the totals.
Everything at a glance
The dashboard lists your forms together with how many responses each one has collected. Instead of opening forms one by one to check whether anything came in, you scan a single view and immediately see which forms are active, which are quiet, and where new answers are landing.
Because the counts reflect verified responses only, the totals are honest. A number on the dashboard is a real, email-confirmed submission, not an abandoned draft or an unverified attempt, so you can trust what you are looking at when you decide what to do next.
Read individual responses
Open any form to reach its per-form results view, where you read submissions one at a time. This is built for the moment you do not want a spreadsheet: you just want to see what a specific respondent actually said, in full, laid out clearly.
Everything stays inside Formius, so reading through answers is a normal part of running a form rather than an export-and-open chore. What the dashboard offers per form includes:
- A response count that reflects only verified, email-confirmed submissions.
- A per-form results view for reading individual responses in detail.
- One-click export of that form's responses as a CSV that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
Export to CSV
When you need to analyze responses in depth, share them with a colleague, or import them into another tool, export the form's responses as a CSV. It opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application, and imports cleanly into other systems. Reading happens in Formius; the export is there for the work that genuinely belongs in a spreadsheet or another system.
For responses that include uploaded files, Formius can also produce a ZIP archive that bundles the CSV summary together with the submitted files, so an export never leaves the attachments behind.
Your data stays intact
Once a form has collected responses, Formius guards edits so you do not break the data you have already gathered. Breaking changes to the form are blocked, while safe, non-destructive changes are still allowed. That protection is deliberate, not a limitation: it means the responses behind the counts on your dashboard stay consistent, and a well-meaning edit to a live form cannot silently corrupt your history.
Frequently asked questions
- Where do I see how many responses a form has?
- On the responses dashboard. It lists all of your forms alongside their response counts, so you can see activity across every form at a glance without opening them individually.
- Can I read individual responses instead of just totals?
- Yes. Open any form to reach its per-form results view, where you read submissions one at a time in full, without exporting anything.
- How do I get my responses into a spreadsheet?
- Export the form's responses as a CSV, which opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool. Use it when you want to analyze the data in depth or import it into another tool. For everyday reading, the results view keeps you inside Formius.
- Do unverified responses show up in the counts?
- No. Only verified, email-confirmed responses count toward the totals on the dashboard, so the numbers reflect real submissions rather than unconfirmed attempts.
- Can editing a live form damage the responses I already have?
- No. Once a form has responses, Formius blocks breaking changes and allows only safe edits, so the data you have already collected stays intact.
